Right in front of Baita Vallongia lies a small pond, part of the lodge's landscape for as long as anyone can remember. In the summer months it becomes a gathering spot for anyone wanting to try the thrill of fishing in a peaceful setting, surrounded by the Dolomites.
From the line to the plate
The trout you catch doesn't have to stay just a memory: it's up to you what happens next. If you'd rather take it with you, you can cook it at your own pace once you're back home; if you'd prefer to enjoy it right away, simply leave it with our kitchen, where it's grilled following our most requested summer recipe. Either way, from the line to the plate, it never loses its freshness.

How does the trout fishing activity at your pond work?
The activity takes place in the pond right in front of the lodge. We provide all the necessary equipment (fishing rods and bait); the experience is suitable for everyone, both adults and children trying it for the first time.
Can the freshly caught trout be cooked right at the lodge?
Absolutely! The strength of our activity is that the trout you catch is immediately cleaned by our chefs and grilled on the spot, for a genuinely fresh, zero-kilometre meal.
Do I need to book in advance to fish at the pond?
No, booking is not required for fishing. You can request the equipment directly from our staff once you arrive at the lodge during summer opening hours.
